Sniff, sniff…
Captain’s gone…nuff said…except for the part where Peter, Paul, and Mary sing about playing around, would never happen in a billion years ‘cos he’d be dead and I’d be someone’s little girlfriend in the big house.

I was so sad that I didn’t notice at first that John Denver was singing with them. He wrote the lyrics, how cool!
I grew up with this song!!! Great campfire song…
Me too. You’re right, it’s a great singalong!
Great song, many meanings : )
Sorry the Captain is gone. I don’t much believe in the “girl in every port” lifestyle either
Right, I think we’re on the same page with that one! The first few days and the last few days are always the most difficult for missing.

Had a “First” tonight–first time the Chief was ever home when I had a car accident (I have had many–look for the post on that tomorrow). He deserves Sainthood and I may not let him go back to work in December … but I like to eat.
Agree that it is a great campfire song and I also grew up with that song. Sorry to here that he was only home a short time. Will he be back for Christmas?
There’s a chance if there’s good weather and no delays. But he’s going from the north pole to the panama canal and it’s all iffy.

Wow, that’s quite a trip and could see it could take awhile plus could run into inclement weather.
hey, I tell me husband that too–I am sure that is not why he does not fool around–but it is a good measure
I really hope the cap isn’t straying just ‘cos of the threat! People say we’re like 2 peas in a pod.

I am sure he is true only to you because of your wonderful sense of humour and good looks and a million other attributes — that is my story as to why my husband is true–the gun story is just a gentle reminder (lol)
