My son and I spoke pretty much right after it happened (he lives/teaches in New Haven) and we remembered how it happened at his old elementary school we live right near in Carlsbad. In 2010 a shooter did the same thing, but he didn’t have good aim and his gun jammed. 2 little girls were hurt, no one killed. Still.

I was @ work so was unawares until I saw it on someone’s blog.. Oh the fear those children (the survivors) will grow up with is enough to slay my heart.. So senseless and barbaric.. there really are no words to describe it.. Your son must be very upset!
I think he thinks it’s senseless and tragic, but he doesn’t see that it could happen to him. Stressed out or mentally ill college student targets a professor or the class. yeah, I see it, he thinks he’s immune. I worry every second of every day. but I worry all the time anyway!
