We've done it again - Madame Seashells and I have gotten together for some fun and excitement. Last time, we baked a pie. This time, the event was slightly more challenging, but if you know her and I at all, you'd know that it was right up our respective alleys. We went shopping together - she from the comfort of her Southern California, seashell-adorned home, me from the frosty-on-the-outside/marginally warmer-on-the-inside mall in picturesque but very snowy downtown Ottawa.

This is my second reblog today. The first was to pass on any help possible for a lost kitty; of course I would do anything to make that happen if I could!! This blog is from my nice friend from another planet, Ottowa--TheFurFiles, who needed a couple of gowns for special events. We had so much fun baking pies together that shopping together just had to be the next activity, right? You can see even from the murky screen shots that she did a great job and will look gorgeous! I took some video that I'm trying to upload after I figure out iMovie. Give me a few days--hopefully I can do it, but I'm not feeling too positive. I'm working on multiple posts and a writing assignment--keeping very busy with my tugboat man gone. If anyone else would like to try to get together like we did, just let me know! Getting ready for a big storm coming down from Alaska; we'll have rain and snow in the mountains!

  1. Gosh you two have fun! I love it.Good luck with the storm, up there ! I am sure you are prepared. I know a few people in Canada, and a very dear old friend,(seriously, she and my sister went to school together…I have known her for about 50 years) in Ottawa.
    Stay warm!
Not you,RShells; I know you are warm!

    • I know about the blizzard. Worried about my son!! Go check on him, would ya? Bring him some food, he’s super thin. And some socks and boots. OK, that’s all. Thanks. :)

      • I know.. my daughter is up in Mass– 40 inches predicted there. YIKES. We could have Pepe’s Pizza together– YUM and then go get some coffee and italian pastry. I’ll fatten him up.

      • Hi I know Pepes! He lived right above sally’s for a while. I think thats right down the street from Pepes. Hope your daughter’s OK! My kid’s got that metabolism that burns calories very efficiently. Hate him for that.

Pepes is the best pizza. I hardly go there but man it is good.

      • Thank you for saying so-but there’s still a few layers of fat and cellulite that give me self hate. I can’t be all smiley all the time, can I? You bring out the depression in me.

    • Thank you, I’ve been staying away from the gym, working out at home on my elliptical and with my own weights. My gym is filthy even without the flu! You stay healthy, too!
