SAVE THE DATE: February 20
Too many horrible things have clouded our world recently — even more than usual.
It’s becoming increasingly more difficult to see the beauty with my rose-colored glasses.
What this universe is crying out for is a paradigm shift toward less violence and hatred and more kindness and compassion.
1000 Voices Speak For Compassion is a brand new initiative.
A few brilliant minds (not mine) conjured up 1000 Voices Speak For Compassion and set a goal to get 1000 bloggers coming together to write about compassion on the 20th of February.
The goal?
To flood the internet with love and help create change for good.
After only three days there are already over 600 bloggers (and videographers) on board.
If you blog or make videos, PLEASE join us.
You can find the Facebook group by clicking the link below.
1000 Voices for Compassion https://www.facebook.com/groups/306227992909657/
And if you don’t blog, please read the many wonderful posts that will be coming — both in the lead-up to the day and on 20th February!
Can we change the world?
Maybe.
At least we can try, right?
This is a great idea!

A few months ago I would have joined immediately… I’m reluctant now because I don’t have the time (or desire to make it enough of a priority to give it the time) to devote to it that I’d want to as a participant. Sure, I could write something and share it, but I wouldn’t be able to join in with the rest of the voices and read all the other posts, join conversations, discuss, etc… and really advance the cause. I’d be taking a spot from someone who could be a better voice and champion than I can be right now…

I totally understand — I was much more involved when I still had FB, now I feel so free, it’s not funny. I want to focus on writing, not be distracted (as I was) by everybody sharing and responding. I’ll write a post about compassion but that’s our 21st anniversary and hopefully, hub’ll be here and we’ll be traveling somewhere.

Well, sheesh! Glad to have you on board but I’ll only be following on twitter cos FB hates me again. I need a privacy rights attorney to sue them to allow me to be Princess Rosebud.

Rose Bushes (still chuckling over this) formerly known as Princess Rosebud, I’m signing up. But only when I get home as I don’t allow myself to use Faceboo at work 😀 Great idea! I’m signing up! Have a lovely weekend x

And now the latest is that they have blocked me from all my Facebook pages cos I won’t send them a birth certificate or other form of ID and a “real” name. Of course I won’t share private info, so I guess it’s a standoff and who wins? I don’t know!

Is that a new Facebook rule? Or only for N. America? They might do the same to me coz I don’t think any parent would name their daughter Chinwags 😀
Though mine is a page instead of a personal one. We’ll see. Well, I wouldn’t give send my birth certificate either. I see you here anyway. Do you Instagram? I know…every social medium has become a verb.

I don’t have a smart phone so I can’t have instagram, unfortunatey! I know so many who don’t use their real names and I don’t know why I’m singled out. Oh well, it’s such a timedrain.
