This little guy visits me every single time i’m outside. He’s easy to identify because of the dark spot on the top of his head. I’m not sure if it’s a wound or an injury, but he seems healthy. I pet him with a little stick; he also enjoys a back massage.
I see nothing wrong with having an alligator lizard as a bestie, do you?

Sweet. I love lizards too.

A lot of presence in that guy. Cool garden companion and that you can pet him with a stick/back massage. He has quite the fashion sense with hiS flat hat spot. Lizard beret?

when I get close, it appears to be a sunken area, but he seems to feel Ok as far as I can tell. they are naturally territorial so thats why he keeps visiting.

Oh, about the territorial. I hadn’t thought about that. I love how Nature OWNS your garden and deck, feels to make it more sacred. I wonder if the sunken area… is it relatively concave and smooth? I wonder if its some kind of external eardrum type sensory organ. I’ve never seen that before, and its so centered. An injury might most likely not be directly on the Meridian? I don’t know. His story is intriguing.

I might call a local vet and send the photo. Poor guy might need some medical attention.
