“The sea is a desert of waves, A wilderness of water.”
–Langston Hughes
There was a high surf advisory and I really wanted to see the big waves which were supposed to peak on Sunday, breaking 6-9 with 10-12 foot sets.
More rain is on the way, but the ocean was electric with healing energy. The beach was packed with surfers and onlookers. I took a lot of pics and sent them to the original Angel Boy to make him feel bad for missing out on a great surf sesh, ‘cos that’s the kind of mom I am, haha.

“I need the sea because it teaches me.”
–Pablo Neruda

“The breaking of a wave cannot explain the whole sea.”
–Vladimir Nabokov

“The sea cures all ailments of man.”
– Plato

“But the sea which no one tends is also a garden.”
–William Carlos Williams

“There is, one knows not what sweet mystery about this sea,
whose gently awful stirrings seem to speak of some hidden soul beneath…”
–Herman Melville

“Protecting the ocean is not just about saving marine life; it’s about safeguarding our own future. Our fate is intimately connected to the health of the ocean.”
–Greta Thunberg
Those are wonderful quotes and pictures. I love being near the sea; I think we probably all do.

Beautiful quotes about the ocean and I loved the pics. I believe the ocean has healing energy too and it calls to me as well. I like how you’ve called it Vitamin Sea Therapy 🌊 😉

I once wrote a post about a book written by a mental health professional who takes this very seriously as therapy. I totally believe it!

That sounds like a great book. Please share the review with me. Along these lines here’s an amazing book called Awaken in the Wild https://contentcatnip.com/2020/03/17/book-review-awaken-in-the-wild-mindfulness-in-nature-as-a-path-of-self-discovery-by-mark-coleman/
I return to this again and again because it’s very soothing ✨️ 💕

I will totally check out that book, it does sound amazing! I guess for some reason I deleted that specific post, but one of the books I talked about was By the Sea: The therapeutic benefits of being in, on and by the water – Dr. Deborah Cracknell and Blue Mind https://www.wallacejnichols.org/122/bluemind.html

When I was in LA a couple weeks ago I was lucky to get to Malibu Beach on the one day when it was sunny. I LOVE the ocean!
