I really wish I was a better photog, still in training! I’ll be uploading the vid of the surf that day, it was really nice, which is why we were at the beach, of course.

I like how you said fortunate-yes, I’m fortunate that my parents moved away from Detroit when I was 13 and that I grew up on the west coast, fortunate that my son survived his near death illness, fortunate that my tugboat man is a SAINT, and sitting on the beach while they were all surfing ’til the sun went down was a happy time.
