Hummingbirds typically lay two eggs; jellybean ovals of white porcelain perfection, and so far I see the first one!
To give you a size comparison, most hummingbird nests are 1.5 – 2 inches in diameter, roughly the size of a ping pong ball.

What a find! We get a fair number of hummingbirds around here, but I’ve never seen one of their nests. Plenty of robin nests, though.

To me, it’s spiritually significant, a message, it was 5 years ago that everything started, so to see a new nest and new life is sort of mindblowing and beautiful.
