Tropical clouds drift into Southern California from Mexico but no rain.
This blue sky was in sharp contrast to the whitest clouds I’ve ever seen.
I think weather is fascinating.
Still no rain in sight for us; perhaps some elevated surf, but according to NOAA:
A large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms, associated with a trough of low pressure, extends several hundred miles southwest of the southwestern coast of Mexico. Environmental conditions appear conducive for development, and a tropical depression is expected to form within the next few days before the system reaches cooler waters later this weekend. This system is forecast to move west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph away from the coast of southwestern Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...70 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent.

Cool! I’ve never seen striated rows of clouds that pronounced. Weather is great stuff!

The sky was so unusual, everyone was looking up and taking pics! We could use the rain tho, but not even one drop.

I don’t anticipate any rain until November! We’re mostly desert climate in SoCal but enjoy your wet stuff!

Really? I didn’t know that! I knew it from Texas (I have a brother there). So you have a while to wait! Will it then come in floods or quite light rain?
I felt like dancing in it yesterday, I was so pleased. (But the neighbours already look at me as if I have several heads.) Today the plants looked so pleased with themselves!

That reminds me of when I visited my son in Goettingen and it was raining and we watched a little child play in a puddle with his smiling mom. That day he told me he had never seen anyone do that except for me when he was little. I think that’s why he enjoys his son splashing in the rain now. Paying it forward. (Yup, we usually only have rain in the winter here.)
