Such an amazing wave pic from Carlsbad. I can’t take credit for the photo, but I have the photographer’s permission to use it.
Here’s how he did it: he was swimming, not sitting on a board; simply in the right place at the right time to reveal a little love.

I have always wondered how they manage to take photos like that inside waves. I imagine if you were surfing you would be too focused on staying in the right position within the wave to take any photos.

I think he was sitting on a surfboard, the waves weren’t huge and he clicked at the perfect time. He takes lots of awesome pics but this one was beyond cool.
