Here’s the next stage of my happy pomegranate tree. I’m so excited! This is only its second year in the ground, and I’m hopeful we’ll have lots of yummy poms in the future.
Feast your eyes on this unique and lovely flower, a future pomegranate, all ruffly like a petticoat. I am obsessed with the intricacy.
We grew these in the back yard when I lived in west Texas. They were so exotic to us, and delicious! I hope yours are too. I can’t believe they wouldn’t be. I’m sure that California is much more supportive for them!

Aren’t they so beautiful? I’ve tried to grow them before but it didn’t do well for some reason. This year I have grapefruit, oranges, apples, lemons, limes, peaches, plums, and now poms!!
