Not this time.

My son takes the greatest photos.
A couple weeks ago, Lady Debbie, a commercial fishing boat, ran aground south of Westport, Washington. Luckily, there were no injuries and all six crewmembers walked away.
I wonder why she’s still there, unsalvaged, because it looks like it’s already starting to deteriorate and is now a canvas for taggers.
I wasn’t with the fam on this surfing beach trip so I didn’t get to actually see the vessel, but the last time I was there, I discovered a treasure trove of sand dollars which made me VERY happy.
I can’t believe the owners of the vessel are not being charged for towing off the sand. I can’t imagine them NOT be charged. They must have made some kind of deal with the local authorities.

One story said: “Commercial vessel salvage operators have been contacted to remove the boat.” Don’t know why it’s still there 2 weeks later but it made a cool pic and a dangerous if kids climb on it (mine did not).

It will get increasingly dangers as it turns to rust and raw metal.

It’s a beautiful photograph and that boat looks so lonely. Abandoned is a good word

It’s crazy how much it’s deteriorated in only 2 weeks. Knowing it’s a hazard, I hope they remove it soon. Those are very pretty beaches up there.
