These are two of my favorite flowers. I really wish they thrived in Southern California, but sadly, they don’t. I have to see them in photos from the Pacific Northwest and try to recollect the alluring fragrance.

Lovely! My lilacs are just beginning to wane, and our rhodies are doing their thing. We have one rhododendron that’s very fragrant and reminds me of something heavenly I smelled years ago in SoCal (but I don’t know what). I love dogwood blooms too.
