I’m not talking about that song by the The Romantics, but a secret spot I discovered while out walking yesterday.
I can’t believe I’ve lived here for decades and never knew about this little beachy secret. One other person was there with their dogs and we vowed not to disclose this classified location…

Its a place called the dunes right on lake Michigan, you can actually see the chicago skyline from there and it a good 30 miles away if you go strait across the lake from there

Yeah I dont care for them either and im a long ways south of there.. lol could not deal with northern cold mixed with lake effect cold too

I just had a conversation with someone else also from back east and we both agree that having to stay inside in the winter with doors/windows closed and heat on is NO fun and we don’t miss it at all.
