Full Blue Moon Treasures

My day began with French roast coffee and a walk around the garden to check on newly sprouted lettuce seedlings.

I’m glad I did, otherwise I’m not sure I would have seen mommy dove stuck in a pile of fruit tree netting that had fallen to the ground. Oh no! She was really struggling to free herself while her baby was close by, silently watching, but unable to help.

After I untangled her and made sure she was ok, I told her I was very sorry she became trapped in the netting. Both of them stayed close so I sat down on the ground to hang out with them for a few minutes.

After that brief rescue, I thought I’d go for an early walk while it was still a bit overcast and the sun wasn’t yet blazing all of its damaging cancer rays directly at me.

Before I crossed the street that leads to the lagoon, I looked down on the sidewalk and spied this adorable sort of a heart-shaped rock. About a foot away, I noticed a dime and a penny, so I absolutely had to grab it all.

I mean, how could I not, right?

10+1 = 11, so I had a significant “11” message from the universe, along with a little heart love.

The number 11 is supposed to be a good sign, as it can represent a new beginning, spiritual growth, and guidance. In numerology, the number 11 is considered a master number with a high-frequency creative energy.

It all sounds incredibly encouraging as we are about to feel August’s full moon energies.

Since it’s also a dynamically charged blue moon, remember to take a moment to look up and connect with the power she transmits. It’s a rare and magical time to dream big, set intentions, and manifest joy.

As above, so below.

Summer Solstice AND a Full Strawberry Moon

“Stay wild, moon child.” – Riitta Klint

Today we celebrate the summer solstice and tomorrow is June’s full “strawberry moon”, the lowest full moon of the year, staying close to the horizon as the sun soars to its highest point in the sky.

How often does a full moon and a solstice appear at pretty much the exact same time? Not very…however, some reports said the last time the solstice full moon happened was in 2016, and some said it last occurred in 1986 or even in 1967. It’s weird that no one seems SURE, don’t you agree?

WOW! The energies are crazy today. I was in a store and a man was causing an issue, swearing and yelling at the employees, and had to be escorted out. I watched the entire scene and stepped aside as his out-of-control anger ramped up so that I wouldn’t become an innocent target or collateral damage. Down the street from THAT insanity, a woman, definitely homeless, was lying across the sidewalk in the hot summer sun with her personal shopping cart tipped over blocking a lane in the the very busy street. I drove by and planned to pull over and call 911 because I didn’t know if she was dead or alive, when the fire and paramedics showed up.

After that, I thought the best course of action was to go home to my safe space and BREATHE.

To make best use of this intense energy, a full moon is a great time to manifest our dreams, honor the light within, and express gratitude.

And don’t forget to charge your crystals, especially with the super intensity of this solstice. I plan to take a walk around the lagoon at sunset and hope to see the moon rise at 7p.m.

Happy Summer!

Full Moon Energy | Stop and Breathe

The full moon always disrupts my sleep. This full Beaver moon is giving me strange dreams, too, but I can only remember fragmented snippets, like my subconscious is rambling and formless; inchoate. This is my signal to spend time in nature, whether it’s the forest, the beach, or my garden.

And she stopped…and she heard what the trees said to her,
And she sat there for hours not wanting to leave,
For the forest said nothing, it just let her breathe.

April’s Full Pink Moon

This full moon is all about healing, harmony, and balance. Stay grounded and peaceful as we embrace the beautiful energy of this pink moon.

“Always remember we are under the same sky, looking at the same moon.” – Maxine Lee

For some reason, none of the pictures I took of the moon came out great, so I snapped a pic of some of my favorite crystals on a pink heart dish.

I love this poem about the moon, written by Lady Montagu (1689-1762), a truly remarkable woman. In addition to her poetry and writing, she is also celebrated for introducing the smallpox inoculation to Britain, half a century before Edward Jenner developed a vaccine against the disease.

Hymn to the Moon

Thou silver deity of secret night,
Direct my footsteps through the woodland shade;
Thou conscious witness of unknown delight,
The Lover’s guardian, and the Muse’s aid!
By thy pale beams I solitary rove,
To thee my tender grief confide;
Serenely sweet you gild the silent grove,
My friend, my goddess, and my guide …

Pink! Pink! Pink! Full Moon

Look up! Tonight’s Pink Full Moon is in Libra, and a full moon is always a powerful time for energy healing, to recharge our chakras and crystals.

This moon is associated with the springtime blossoming of the Phlox subulata plant, a pink wildflower native to eastern North America, according to The Old Farmer’s Almanac. The plant is commonly known as creeping phlox, moss phlox, or mountain phlox.

The Dakota tribe dubbed it the “moon when the streams are again navigable,” while the Tlingit tribe called it “budding moon of plants and shrubs,” in reference to the end of winter and the resurgence of plant growth.

Here’s another reason to look up; a Lyrids meteor shower from April 21 to 22!

The next full moon in my birthday month of May will be a more impressive spectacle because it coincides with a total lunar eclipse.

Since pink is my favorite color, let’s all set happy pink intentions!
