I helped this monarch butterfly escape from being trapped in the fence and she flew away unharmed.
And just when the darkness
became too much to bear
and the struggle too hard,
the light broke through
and the caterpillar emerged

We have turned what USED to be a garden into a stand for butterfly 🦋 weeds. They are not beautiful, but it’s there. I think the birds and bees like the flowers and seeds too, so it’s a 3-for-1 growth. It sure isn’t lovely to look at — especially because it’s about 8 feet tall. Maybe more but I am hoping it keeps butterflies alive. Great job saving the monarch!
