To Live Among The Stars ⭐

These are such exquisite words, it almost hurts my heart to read them.

“And at night you will look up at the stars. My star will just be one of the stars, for you. In one of those stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night. And when your sorrow is comforted (time soothes all sorrows) you will be content that you have known me. I shall not leave you. There is sweetness in the laughter of all the stars….and in the memories of those we love.”

The Moon said to the stars :
Do not look at my dark side
for it is unseen by me
and unworthy of Love.

And the stars said :
I see your darkness and light
and love your contrasting nature.

Would it be love if I only loved
the half that reflected my shining?

At a distance you only see my light,
come closer and know that I am You.

The Lightness of You

I wish that I could show you,
when you are lonely or in darkness,
the astonishing light of your own being.

If Each Day…

Since we’re on the precipice of September’s supermoon and a lunar eclipse, powerful cosmic energies unfold, encouraging us to reflect on the past and prepare for positive transformations.

Again, as above, so below. Are you ready?

It may look like a hot and dusty trail, but I think it’s paradise. Let’s explore this path together.

A Wonderful Day

This is a wonderful day.

soul colors

The soul becomes dyed with the color of its thoughts.

It seems like a good day for a mindful reminder that when we THINK love, we BECOME love.

Our inner world—our thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes—shapes our outer reality.

Grow Wings of Kindness

Trail Cam

To find the universal elements enough;
to find the air and the water exhilarating;
to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter…
to be thrilled by the stars at night;
to be elated over a bird’s nest or a wildflower in spring –
these are some of the rewards of the simple life.
~ John Burroughs

Join me on an early morning walk around the lake trails.

There’s a familiar fragrance of tule, which some people don’t like, but I love love the way it smells. Tule grows in dense stands along freshwater wetlands.

Indigenous peoples ate tule roots and seeds, while the reeds were used to make baskets, cord, sandals, and clothing. P.S. Here’s how to say it: “too-lee”

With all the rain we’ve had, everything was uncharacteristically green…as far as the eye could see…

Pretty Black-eyed Susan flowers!

It’s a human-made lake, not natural, intended to be a reservoir, but the ducks and coots don’t seem to mind a bit.

Native buckwheat.

I didn’t see any coyotes this time, but it was still a lot of fun!
