“When I am silent, I fall into the place where everything is music.” — Rumi
Whew, it’s definitely time for a Rumi quote to bring down sky high BP.
Today is Martin Luther King Day and that petty psychopathic orange POS removed MLK Day and Juneteenth from the list of fee-free days for our national parks and replaced them with days like Flag Day (his birthday).
My governor, California’s Governor Newsom, countered by making over 200 California State Parks free on MLK Day.

Now that 2025 is almost over and we’re looking for inspiration to start a new year, how about this one? It’s said that Buddha repeated it when he taught mindfulness…
Atapi sampajano satima
It’s in the Pali language, an ancient language central to Theravada Buddhism.
Atapi sampajano satima is from Buddhist texts and means “ardent effort, clear comprehension, and constant mindfulness,” a core formula for the path to liberation.
It emphasizes diligent, wise, and continuous awareness of reality (impermanence) to see phenomena as they truly are, dissolving self-illusion.
This is a call to practice intensely (Atapi), understand deeply (Sampajano), and stay present (Satima) by observing the arising and passing of sensations and mental states without reaction, which leads to wisdom and freedom.
We’re entering that dreaded holiday limbo zone between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, when time seems to almost stop moving in a sort of frenzied yet slightly depressed way.
If ever there was a time for meditation, calm, reflection, self care, and serenity, this is IT.
We’re in the middle of Lions Gate Portal 2025, which occurs annually from around July 28 to August 12, and will peak tomorrow, August 8.
It’s an enchanted, magical period when the Earth, Sirius, and the Sun in Leo align in the cosmos, creating a powerful burst of energy.
Sirius, known as the “Dog Star,” is a beacon of light and wisdom. This alignment opens a gateway to higher energies, enhancing our intuition to help us connect with the divine.
This alignment is thought to amplify manifestation energy and encourage self-expression and authenticity. It’s a time when many believe we can tap into our inner power and manifest our desires.
This portal is supercharged by a rare cosmic phenomenon—the Major Lunar Standstill which occurs every eighteen years. There’s also a Full Sturgeon Moon on Saturday, August 9 — a lot going on! In fact, this full moon will be a special two-night event with the moon appearing full Friday and Saturday.
These events create a once-in-a-generation wave of celestial energy to enhance emotional healing, ancestral connection, and karmic closure.
The universe conspires to make our dreams come true. Isn’t that lovely?
it’s a powerful time for setting intentions and manifesting desires related to abundance, love, clarity, and positive transformation.
What can we do to enhance this enchanted celestial energy?
🪷 Meditate: To connect with our inner self and the portal’s energy.
🪷 Set Intentions: Clearly define our intentions and desires for manifestation.
🪷 Self-Reflect: Reflect on our current state and identify areas where we want to grow and transform.
🪷 Release: Let go of limiting beliefs and emotional blockages that may hinder our progress.
If I could, I’d wish everyone a happy 4th of July, but in our current USA climate of ICE kidnappings, lack of due process, total annihilation of our Bill of Rights and Constitution, it’s more of a sad, funereal, and tragic day than a celebration.
Instead, I’m looking to the skies for inspiration, hopefully some “as above, so below” joy, the kind you get from wishing upon a star…
Star light, star bright, First star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, Have the wish I wish tonight. ⭐
It’s time for Sirius to shine as the brightest most twinkliest star in the night sky. Also known as the Dog Star, it’s a binary star system consisting of Sirius A and Sirius B. Sirius is located 8.6 light-years from Earth in the constellation Canis Major.
Each year from July 3 to July 7, the Earth experiences a powerful energetic alignment known as the Sirius Portal. This five-day window marks a period of increased cosmic energy, spiritual awakening, and inner transformation.
During this time, the Sun aligns with the star Sirius, the brightest star visible from Earth, often referred to as our Spiritual Sun. Sirius has been revered by ancient cultures for thousands of years for its connection to divine intelligence, spiritual activation, and higher consciousness.
In astrology and energy work, this alignment is known to open a cosmic gateway or energy portal, allowing a flow of high-frequency light codes to reach Earth. These light codes are energetic patterns that support soul remembrance, intuition activation, emotional release, and vibrational upgrades on both a personal and collective level.
While this energy is available to everyone, those who are more energy sensitive or actively working on growth may feel it more strongly.
During the Sirius Portal, many people feel a mix of emotional, mental, and physical shifts. These are signs that your energy body is adjusting and upgrading in response to the alignment.
The energy coming through this gateway often reveals what needs healing, highlights what is ready to shift, and strengthens your connection to your higher self. It can be a time of deep insight, emotional clarity, and powerful intention-setting.
The Sirius Portal represents a connection between the Earth and higher realms of consciousness. While our physical Sun sustains life in the material world, Sirius is seen as a source of spiritual light, providing insight, healing, and guidance from the soul level.
This alignment is considered sacred as it opens a brief period where access to wisdom, clarity, and transformation becomes easier, faster, and more direct.
It is believed that spiritual downloads, energetic healing, and intuitive insights are more accessible during this time. People who actively work with this energy may experience a breakthrough, make an important decision, or feel deeply inspired to move forward with something they had been holding back.
To make the most of the Sirius Gateway, it helps to take time out to pause and reflect. This is a perfect time for journaling, meditation, or stillness. By asking focused questions, you open a dialogue with your higher self and invite answers that may come through thoughts, dreams, feelings, or synchronicities.
Here are some powerful questions to ask during this portal:
⭐ What parts of my life feel out of alignment with who I am becoming? ⭐ What am I ready to release so that I can grow emotionally or spiritually? ⭐ What would it feel like to fully trust my inner guidance right now?
Asking these questions from a place of curiosity, without pressure, allows answers to flow naturally. Sometimes they come right away. Other times, the answers appear gradually through signs, intuitive nudges, or conversations that confirm what you already feel inside.
While the Sirius Portal is deeply energetic, the way you respond to it physically and mentally will shape what you get from the experience. Choosing to be intentional during these five days helps direct the energy toward your goals.
You might take time out each day between July 3 and July 7 to do one or more of the following:
⭐ Write down one intention that you want to manifest before the end of the year. ⭐ Meditate on your highest self and visualize living your next-level life. ⭐ Clear out old clutter, thoughts, or habits that no longer match your direction. ⭐ Pay close attention to your dreams or signs and write them down immediately.
What we do, say, think, and feel during these days carries extra weight. Approach the portal with clear intentions, openness, and trust. Curated from Alex Myles
I guess all we can do is manifest and set intentions for a positive future with decent humans making better choices for us and our planet. Fingers crossed!
⭐ Best of all, I discovered a Leon Russell (as Hank Wilson) song about stars!
At this point in time with what’s going on here in the United States (not so united right now), I think we need to collectively try this as a meditation mantra.
I think it’s significant that there’s a full Blood Worm Moon during a total lunar eclipse on Friday. Hopefully, the power of these planetary energies will ignite transformation and remove the toxicity that’s permeated our country.
Again, as above, so below.
May all beings be peaceful. May all beings be happy. May all beings be safe. May all beings awaken to the light of their true nature. May all beings be free.
May all beings be peaceful. May all beings be happy. May all beings be safe. May all beings awaken to the light of their true nature. May all beings be free.
Whew! Something strange happened to me as I embarked on a late afternoon walk around the lagoon, about three miles or so.
As I was walking and walking, the sun began to set. I took a photo of the sky even though I know the colors resulted from a couple local brushfires.
Unedited photo by Enchanted Seashells
As I walked up the hill, I guess my mind wandered; at least I think it did. I’m actually not really sure what happened.
At some point I realized that I had lost a chunk of time.
In one way, it seemed like time stood still, and in another way, it seemed as if I had been walking for HOURS, and yet I felt like I wasn’t even really in my own body, or even in my own specific reality.
I was somewhere else, or more accurately, I had BEEN somewhere else; again I’m not sure where.
When I came back from that nowhere land, it’s not that I became dizzy or lightheaded, but I definitely felt a sensation of a jolt back to my physical body when I looked around and realized that I was still walking but I’m not sure how I got to where I was — which probably makes no sense at all.
I said out loud to myself, “Well, that was really strange. Where did I go?“
Where was I? Did I enter a portal to a different dimension? Did I unintentionally astrally project somewhere? A different time and space? I can’t rule out dissociation, but there had been no Immediate preceding traumatic event. I was simply walking.
Was it astral projection? A meditative experience?Did I really enter a portal?
I can’t remember that ever happening before. It wasn’t unpleasant, but I didn’t learn any earthshattering truths about the universe or receive any profound messages from beyond.
If it was a gateway to different spiritual planes or realities, I guess I prematurely returned HERE too soon to retrieve any memories.
Maybe I entered Leon Russell’s “…place where there’s no space or time…”
This is a lucky day to manifest our hopes and dreams. The 12/12 portal of conscious awareness is one of the most potent energetic alignments of the year—a cosmic gateway carrying the frequency of divine alignment, spiritual awakening, and ascension.
Number ONE symbolizes individuality, leadership, ambition, and new beginnings. Reflects masculine energy: action, drive, and assertiveness.
Number TWO represents duality, partnership, cooperation, and intuition. Reflects feminine energy: nurturing, sensitivity, and balance.
Together as 1212, these numbers symbolize the harmonization of these opposing but complementary forces. Repeated, the sequence amplifies the need for equilibrium in all aspects of life — within ourselves, our relationships, and the collective consciousness.
The energy of the 1212 Portal doesn’t immediately dissipate — it can serve as a catalyst for shifts leading to the full moon on December 15 and the Winter Solstice on December 21. (Don’t forget we’re still under the influence of Mercury Retrograde until December 15, too!)
A full moon, retrograde, a solstice, and the 12/12 portal — that’s a LOT of potent planetary energy that’s happening at the same time. Take care of yourselves!
Here are some things we can do to access this dynamic 12/12 energy:
Set Intentions Take time to reflect on what you want to create or release in your life. Write your intentions down or say them aloud—there’s power in putting your desires into words.
Meditate or Visualize Quiet your mind and imagine stepping through a symbolic portal. What does your ideal life look and feel like? Visualizing it can help make it more tangible.
Practice Gratitude Gratitude raises your vibration and aligns you with abundance. Reflect on what you’re thankful for and notice how it shifts your perspective.
Engage in Ritual Light a candle, take a salt bath, or do something meaningful to mark the occasion. Rituals help anchor your intentions in the physical world.
Stay Open Pay attention to synchronicities, dreams, or sudden insights around this time. Trust that these moments are guiding you toward clarity and growth.
It’s so weird. I’ve been seeing this sequence of numbers (514) for a couple of years.
I see it all the time; on clocks, my phone, the oven, a timer, auto license plates — any and everywhere one might observe a series of numbers.
Since I was already aware of the significance of 11:11 and 1:11, I figured it might be symbolic to see recurring numbers — and especially 514, which is personally significant since it’s my birthdate.
I’ve always loved my birthday because every few years it falls on Mother’s Day, so I get a double celebration. A friend with psychic abilities told me that 514 could be a sign that my mom is around, offering love, support, and guidance. Whether it’s true or not (the jury’s still out on all that stuff), I appreciate the thought.
My life path number is 11 which means I’m supposed to be nurturing, highly sensitive, intuitive, a natural leader, an old soul, and a healer. That’s all good and fairly accurate, I guess.
What’s your life path number? Add up all the numbers in your birthdate including the year, and check it out. Is it accurate for you?
One of the Angel Kids came in, looked around the living room, and said, “Grandma, you turned this room into a zen den!”
I had never heard of that term before; apparently he heard about it from one of Mom’s friends.
A Zen room is a tranquil space designed for meditation, reflection, and relaxation. It draws inspiration from Zen Buddhism’s principles of simplicity, mindfulness, and harmony with nature.
Recently, my love/obsession for indoor plants has spilled out all over the house to every available space, and the living room is no exception. I found an awesome boho rug and switched out some 90s burgundy drapes for a softer, more gentle mauve. I already had lots of pillows and crystals, rocks, and seashells, so it wasn’t such a drastic change.
If I hadn’t almost burned down the house a few times (truth), I’d add to the ambiance with a few dozen candles, but I don’t think it’s a great idea based on my track record.
It’s a sanctuary, a safe haven, a great place to play Scrabble, work on puzzles with the Angels, or listen to them play in the “mansion”, which is what we call their giant doll house that’s five feet tall and so big that we set it up in the living room.
“We like it down here, Grandma.” That’s all I needed to hear. My zen den is a success. It really does have a serene, peaceful vibe, and I’m happy they could feel it, too.
It’s a great place to quiet the mind and think about the autumnal equinox, free of TV or other distractions.
According to Isis Channelings, this equinox represents the balance of light and dark, and falls within a highly karmic dark night of the soul eclipse gateway. It’s like a bandage has been ripped out and all our wounds are exposed and demanding to be seen .
Dream time is intense right now and can bring much clarity and insights from our subconscious which could prove useful as we navigate these emotional tidal waves.
Enjoy twelve equal hours of light and dark, the first day of fall, and celebrate Mabon and honor Mother Earth by eating apples, decluttering, and don’t forget to write in a gratitude journal.
Seijaku: stillness in the midst of activity, is an advanced and powerful form of T’ai Chi Chih.
“The Japanese speak of Seijaku as serenity in the midst of activity. Not escaping from the world to some mountaintop as is taught in the Indian teachings. But finding the real meaning, fulfillment, energy and wisdom in the midst of everyday hustle and bustle – building a silent and imperturbable center while active in the disappointments and triumphs of our busy lives. This is real fulfillment.” Justin Stone Speaks on T’ai Chi Chih®
Seijaku (stillness, tranquility, solitude): The principle of seijaku emphasizes the fundamental Zen theme of emptiness, which implies an inexhaustible spirit.
It is in states of active calm, tranquility, solitude, and quietude that we find the very essence of creative energy. Silent pauses in music, as well as motionlessness in dance and theater, illustrate the power of seijaku.
In meditation, we strive to achieve self-awareness and focus, to learn how to quiet our mind.
I think that’s why it’s called a practice, because it’s a daily exercise to try and attain and actualize that state of being.
Some days it works; often it does NOT, but it’s a life goal. My brain often goes off on a tributary, thinking of funny things like the Seinfeld episode where George Costanza’s dad screams “Serenity, NOW!” (I’m working on that; like I said, it’s a practice…)
